APPA cardboard pallets

APPA cardboard pallets

Cardboard pallets are designer on the basis of PALLRUN® pallet feet. They are made entirely of cardboard, which means that they do not require fumigation and are resistant to moisture. Cardboard pallets are used whenever the use of wooden pallets generates excessive costs and there is too high a risk that pest that feeds on wood will penetrate pallets. Thanks to the use of PALLRUN® pallet feet, cardboard pallets offer broad design possibilities and make it possible to use virtually any pallet bottom. Depending on weight and type of transported load, PALLRUN® feet can be combined with corrugated board of various strengths, cardboard with honeycomb structure, and also with other types of material.

Parameters and properties

  • Standard sizes of pallets handled on both sides with forklifts include: 600 x 800 mm, 800 x 1,200 mm, 1,000 x 1,200 mm, and 400 x 600 mm
  • Standard sizes of pallets handled on four sides include: 800 x 1,200 mm (standard EUR-pallet design with 9 pallet feet) and 1,000 x 1,200mm (industrial pallet/UK)
  • Weight from 3 kg to 6 kg, depending on size
  • Robust pallet feet coated with kraft paper are characterised by very good hygroscopic properties and are excellent for ocean freight
  • The maximum steady load on per a PALLRUN pallet foot is 10 tons
  • The dynamic strength of an APPA pallet of the EUR-pallet size is more than 1,000 kg
  • Pallet bottoms made of the HD honeycomb ensure appropriate rigidity and strength

Advantages of APPA cardboard pallets

  • They do not require fumigation or any special export certificates
  • They are free of any nails, splinters, or undesirable pest
  • They meet the requirements set forth in the ISPM 15 International Standards For Phytosanitary Measures No. 15
  • Resistant to moisture
  • They are significantly lighter that standard wooden pallets, sometimes even by as many as 20kg!; They are excellent for air freight
  • Thanks to their light weight, they can be handled easily, thus enhancing work ergonomics and the efficiency of workers, who handle pallets in production halls and warehouses
  • They are disposable, which eliminates the costs related to pallet trade and the administrative costs resulting from such trade
  • Cardboard pallets are 100% made of paper, which makes them environmentally friendly. When disposed, they are treated as waste paper and recycled
